The vehicle was designed to carry out the following operations:

  • scheduled maintenance and emergency recovery operations;
  • Transportation of loads on coupled wagons;

  • Delivery of workers to site;

  • Shunting at station yards;

  • Power supply to welding equipment at work site;

  • Power supply to electrical equipment working at 380/220V, 50Hz.;

ADMckm mk.2 catenary maintenance vehicle is fully self-propelled. The control cabin is mounted on the front part of the vehicle frame, the articulated crane - on ther rear part. The crane serves to perform catenary masts deinstallation and installation operations and to handle cargoes. The liftting platform is situated on top of the control cabin. The power pack is hidden under the frame in the middle section of the vehicle. Torque is transmitted from diesel engine to hydraulic gearbox input shaft and having passed through torque converter and gears is passed to 3-phase alternator, slow speed drive motor and to cardan shafts connected with axle gearboxes of wheel sets. The air compressor is driven through belt drive.
