The vehicle was designed to carry out the following operations:

  • Drilling of pits for installation of catenary masts;
  • Maintenance, installation and dismounting of catenary masts and other elements of catenary system;
  • Transportation of loads on coupled wagons;

  • Delivery of workers to site;

  • Shunting at station yards;

  • Power supply to welding equipment at work site;

  • Power supply to electrical equipment working at 380/220V, 50Hz.;

ADM-1.5BM catenary installation vehicle is fully self-propelled. The control cabin is mounted on the front end of the vehicle frame. The cargo lifting articulated jib is placed on the rear end of the vehicle and serves to perform cargo handling, installation or de-installation of catenary masts. The elements of the auger are transported fixed to the frame deck between the cabin and the crane. The auger is set in the operating mode with the help of the articulated jib.  Cummins Diesel engine is installed under the frame in its middle section.

Torgue is transmitted from hydraulic gear box to the 3-phase alternator and cardan shafts. Torque from cardan shafts is further transmitted to the axle gear boxes of wheel-sets. The air-compressor is driven by belt-drive.
