The sump unit is a railway platform on which a tank with an electric vacuum pump and other equipment necessary to ensure the operation of the unit is installed. The sump unit is designed for the mechanized extraction of pulp (sludge) from catchments (sumpfs), drainage pumping units located in subway tunnels and transporting it to the settling tanks of drainage networks located at the sites of the electric underground.
